We explore unknown scientific territories in thin film quantum materials, utilizing and developing unique thin film growth techniques with atomic scale controllability and fabricating novel device structures. With these unique capabilities, we investigate various thin film quantum materials including topological insulators, topological superconductors, Weyl/Dirac semimetals, materials for quantum computation, 2D materials, complex oxides and their hybrid structures, searching for new physics as well as quantum applications.
